Jacki Without An E

I’ve worn a lot of appellations in my time.

Dog rescuer. Vintage clothing seller. Music fan. Historian. Gardener. Friend/sister/daughter/auntie/niece/cousin. Scholar. Ally. Researcher. Disability advocate. Traveller. Proud Canadian.

And the one that never leaves me: Writer.

It took me a long time to find my niche as a writer. I can’t craft fiction. I don’t understand poetry. Songwriting? Puhleeze. News writing, nope; it’s too dry and constricted for my flowy verbosity.

I’m a chronicler, really. I journal. I pen letters. I write posts and messages and notes and lists. I’m chatty in text: informal, cheerful, self-deprecating. I write to figure things out, to examine issues, to share knowledge, to encourage and uplift, and to express my joy.

It turns out that my kind of writing is perfect for this online world that we live in.

I can write about just about anything, and I have. But, to be honest, my best writing happens when I’m passionate and/or curious about the topic. Luckily, I’m a Sagittarius, so I’m passionate and curious about lots of stuff.

Wondering if I’ll be a good fit for your project? Shoot me a message and let’s find out.
